Dee Bivens

Dee Bivens was born & raised in Salem, IL and after marrying she lived in IL, MO, MI, KY then after a divorce moved to OK. She moved to VA after her mother passed away to help her daughter & son-in-law with her grandchildren.

Dee had 12 years of formal classical piano training & presently teaches piano & has a music therapy program for Autistic children. Another hat she wears is that of a travel agent which she has done for over 20 years. Prior to moving to this area, she spent many years in radio sales, doing voice overs and wrote many commercials. She also did print sales for 3 years.

While in KY, she belonged to the KY Opera Association for over 10 years then belonged to the Singles group & volunteered at the KY Civic Center. She was a member of the first class of Leadership Elizabethtown and while living in Louisville, joined Leadership Louisville. Upon moving to OK, she volunteered for the OK Civic Center and was a member of Leadership OKC.

Besides being an avid traveler, Dee is involved in many aspects of her church, coaches her granddaughter’s softball team, is Commissioner for her league, holds other offices in AGSA and enjoys gardening. But enjoys her grandchildren most of all.
