Erin Sanzero

ERIN SANZERO – Soprano- In the summer of 2010, Erin Sanzero joined the Young Artist Apprentice Program at the Santa Fe Opera and made her debut as Emmie Spashett in Albert Herring.  Most recently, she sang the role of Madamigella Jouvenot in Adriana Lecouvreur for Washington Concert Opera and completed the workshop of Nico Muhly’s Dark Sisters, with future performances at Gotham Chamber Opera in New York City and the Opera Company of Philadelphia.  Recent engagements include singing Edith (and covering Mabel) in The Pirates of Penzance with Virginia Opera and her debut at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia as Gretel in Hansel and Gretel.   Ms. Sanzero is a 2009 District winner in the Metropolitan Opera’s National Council Auditions, a Hughes Award winner in the Annapolis Vocal Competition, winner of the Mario Lanza Vocal Competition in Philadelphia, and a finalist in the 2008 Palm Beach Opera Vocal Competition. She graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree and the Mannes College of Music with a Master of Music degree.
