Matthew Moore

MATTHEW MOORE –Baritone – sang in the American premieres of Franz Schrecker’s Die Gezeichneten, Howard Shore’s The Fly, and Walter Braunfels’ Die Vögel.  He has been a guest performer twice in concert with Federica von Stade and has performed with the Los Angeles Opera, the Columbus Symphony, San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program, the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, the Naples Philharmonic, the Berkshire Opera, L’Orchestra da Camera, the Waco Symphony, and the Lyric Opera of Waco. In the Metropolitan Opera’s National Council Auditions, Mr. Moore has been a five-time District winner, a one-time Regional winner, and a one-time National semifinalist.  He also has been a Pasadena Opera Guild winner and an Encouragement Award winner in the Dallas Opera Guild Competition. A native of Newport News, Virginia, Mr. Moore studied at Baylor University and graduated recently from Boston University’s Opera Institute .
