Cyd Miller Everett – A native Washingtonian, International Traveler, Cyd has lived in Mexico City and in Spain. She is an avid gardener, especially orchids and roses. She lives in “box cottage” with her Maltese, Noey, and her poodle, Copper as well as BeBe the cat. She has five Grandchildren. Her early life was a photographic, runway and television model as well as running a Fashion School for Teenagers in Westchester County New York. She published Fashion Columns in Washington, DC in the late 80′s.
An Active Fundraiser and Public Relations Principal, Designer and Charity Woman since her early 20′s, she has chaired many Social and Fund Raising Community Events: Social Chairman Mt. Kisco County Club, Social Chairman of the Mclean Virginia Women’s Club, League of Service sustainer/Northern Virginia, United Way
Team Captain, Allentown, PA. She has been very active as a Women’s Committee member for the Washington Performing Arts Society, Women’s Committee for the Symphony, Beethoven Society, THIS, the Meridian House International and member of the Board of the International Eye Foundation.
At present she is on the Executive Board of The Women’s Committee for the Washington Ballet as Treasurer; President of the Women’s Committee for the National Museum of Women in the Arts; head of Public Relations for the National Society of Arts and Letters; Arts for the Aging and Head of Development for Bravissimo . She is also a long term Member of Fashion Group International and member of Welcome to Washington.
She has chaired several events such as: the Eye Ball, the Montgomery County Symphony, the First Chair of PETA at the Willard Hotel and Chair of Pisces Gala for the Beethoven Society. Very active with the Washington Ballet she has chaired events at the Turkish Residence and the Big Donor Event at the Portuguese Residence.
